There was also a magical concert with Tom in June 2024 in Scarborough. I was there. Tom is absolutely irreplaceable. My endless admiration!! ❤❤❤🌹❤️❤️❤️
Come on Cityyy🩵🩵🩵
💙💙💙💙💙
Getting 37 & class 20’s coming in together was good
Very nice
That B16 - WOW what a beauty.
Watching this back is emotional, these fans, second to none 🎶
Jeremy sang made it rain clouds 🌧️
Great video of iconic Diesels under Privatisation ❤️Great sounding locos ❤️
Thanks Dave for sharing your visit .
Wonderful video
I was in the Town End and it was a fantastic day. However it just delayed the inevitable for a couple of seasons.
Went there for my sons 4th birthday that weekend he had the time of his life
I was there on Sunday and had a splendid day out. I've got lots of video to edit, but the first three clips are on my channel if you'd like to have a look.
Fantastic. As much as I appreciate steam locos, this for me is rail nostalgia. These are locos I've actually seen in service or travelled with. Oh, and the Abba song is just a bonus since I now live in Sweden 😋
Fabulous shots of these great loco's Dave , took the grandchildren there recently using a day rover ticket . .........Peter
Is this at Gilling East nr the village .
Yes
Dave Hogan: A very fine tour indeed; thank you kindly!
LOVE TO SEE MORE VIDEOS of this great layout - Great Work How did you make the COW WATH ROAD BRIDGE please?
Lovely video but the jibber jabber just is too much and ruins it
Super, like .... and how do you like such a train?ЧС4 126 ua-cam.com/video/Q6MBgdd-Pz8/v-deo.html
Great stuff, not sure about the mix of modern and classic vehicles though. Historically speaking, I don't think any A4 Pacific loco would've been running on the NYMR during the 1960s. Up until about 1967 Nigel Gresley was apparently painted in a green livery (I don't think many people know this; an A4 book I have shows Gresley in green in 1966) then underwent an overhaul in 67 (presumably out of service until the 1970s). Ever since though that particular A4 has been painted blue. Would be nice for them to change the colour now and again, and I'm surprised model A4 Nigel Gresley's in 00 or N gauge aren't available in green, but I'm guessing it's because people aren't aware that it used to be green at one point, same with Mallard, which, during the 60s was also green.
After looking at the Tornado in that paint scheme...Am I the only one thinking that we might see it in blue again?
Splendid stuff. I went on the Saturday but, so far, I've only had time to get the first two instalments of my video footage edited and on UA-cam; they're in this Playlist if you'd like to have a look: ua-cam.com/play/PLFsbViNeGSHnW5INzmkndlC3EU_rqI1jq.html Further instalments will be added as time allows...
Nice video Dave :)
Cheers
I love the show thing at Levisham. Whenever I went to the War Weekend with my grandma and granddad, I would get off at Levisham from Grosmont and watch it then I would get the next train to Pickering
Is it just old men playing Engine Driver or do the kids get to ride?
There is public running for the kids to ride on in the summer
Nice video Dave of the railway.
I absolutely love Gilling! I hope I go next year
For me personally the 37s always look concerned
Amazing footage
I visited yesterday
Why 'the great goodbye'?
There was an ever at York called “The Great Gathering” where they got all the remaining A4s. Afterwards they all went back to their respective museums, hence the title. There is currently no plans to scrap any A4s.
iv'e subscribed to your channel not as a "you subbed me i sub you" but because i have looked at what video's and i have an interest in them, i used to work on the railways and have included pictures of my last signal box in my msfs uk coastline tour video, i also have a big like for steam trains as find the mechanics and the engineering fascinating, but my true like is big engines and on the railway side its the old diesels like the deltics etc partly the powerful sound on motoring but also their non streamlined yet superb distinctive 60s and 70s design, i also was a big fan of madness in the day so quite a bit to interest me in your video line up..keep it up. Regards Keith
Hi, thanks for the comments, not been a good year for video, but hopefully things are improving
Any progress on garden railway in last 10 months ?
Hi, Yes the railway was completed just before winter set in, this weekend I'm cleaning the track down and hopefully get trains running. When I get a chance I'll do a video update
That double flower headboard looks okay close up but when it's part of Scott's front facade along with the number 60103 it makes him look like he has an angry face and he wants to hiss at everyone!!!!
Great Video We are on it at about 13.12 Thanks
nice project
Hello, I am looking to complete a set and I am missing one item. The white and red house to the side of the station shown on 1:37 I believe it’s called station shop Can anyone help with finding it? It doesn’t appear anywhere online :(
As far as I know that building has never been made by either Hornby or Bachmann. It could possibly be a modified version of the waiting room on the opposite side of the track with a scratchbuilt extension. Or just scratchbuilt entirely of course!
Are they all going to be scrapped?? Is that the reason why????

Some great location shots Dave , love the wheel spin .......Peter
This is my home railway i go on it nearly every saturday and i went on it when it reopened 😃😃
We were lucky because Carl Boyeson was the ref
bloody great video just love the sound of the 40's dave
Great shots and sounds Dave , thank you for sharing ........Peter
Excellent work, we've used almost identical methods hehe keep up the good work!
Hi Richard, it's almost identical because I was clueless to start with, so copied from your original video ha ha, and have been waiting for next installment. My first loop is now complete, and train running, so should be posting an update soon
Kim was the babysitter of Hamilton in the old days when she was running. There used to be many a photo of him around years ago. Im surprised he wasn't at an event like this up on the footplate.
Think Kim malyon passed away a few years ago sadly
@@graemehannam3950 oh thats sad news indeed. Mustve passed prematurely as he never looked particularly old back in the Hamilton days
Your garden looks healthy and well kept adding a railway makes a lot of sense. 🚂🚃🚃🚃
Looking really nice. Sadly I've got to stick with the inside layout, I've subscribed to your channel to see how you get on.
Always great fun running trains in the garden and the kids love it , looking forward to seeing this run ........Peter
